Challenge
Chilli sits on a mountainside, a site demanding careful positioning, environmental awareness, and a build approach that respected the landscape rather than forcing it into submission.
Approach
The design and build centred on aligning the structure with natural contours, views, wind channels and the surrounding vegetation. Working on steep, exposed terrain required disciplined planning, from access routes and material movement to structural reinforcement and safe site operations.

Outcome
A small, precise home perched in a landscape few would attempt to build on. Chilli is proof that restraint and rigour beat ambition without discipline.
