Pangolin

Challenge

Pangolin is one of the projects that pushed our design and project management further than any other. Inspired by the form and texture of the animal, the house required a roof cut into precise single-sheet segments to create a scaled pattern, a complex detail that demanded coordination across designers, fabricators and roofing specialists.

Approach

We developed the exterior paintwork in layered tones, blending the structure into the surrounding environment, echoing the animal's camouflage while respecting the site. The roof geometry was resolved through full-scale mock-ups before a single sheet was cut on site.

Outcome

A conceptually ambitious home delivered without compromise. Pangolin proves that unusual briefs can be executed with the same discipline as conventional ones, provided the planning starts early.
